About the Asset Management S.I.G.

THE ASSET MANAGEMENT SIG

Purpose: To build relationships and share resources related to the investment asset management sector and career development.

Asset Management SIG members include all functional specialties related to similar target markets in the investment management arena worldwide.

Members include all functional areas of the private and public investment markets, including CFO's, COO's, treasurers, controllers, portfolio/investment managers and analysts. Disciplines in this SIG are equally broad, encompassing professionals in fixed income, equities, derivatives, funds of funds, private equity, real estate, hedge funds, family offices, and trading operations.

NEW YORK ASSET MANAGEMENT SIG

Purpose:

To share/build knowledge within the Investment Management Sector, promote business development activities among members, develop lasting relationships, build consensus, share resources and communicate regularly on items of interest to Investment Management professionals – both those currently employed and those in transition.

Asset Management SIG members include all functional specialties related to Investment Management worldwide. Members include all functional areas of the private and public investment markets, including CEO’s, CIO’s, CFO's, COO's, tax professionals, treasurers, controllers, portfolio/investment managers and analysts, etc. Disciplines in this SIG are equally broad, encompassing professionals in fixed income, equities, derivatives, mutual funds, funds of funds, private equity, real estate, hedge funds, family offices, investment banking, banking, lending and trading operations. FAIRFIELD CO. ASSET MANAGEMENT SIG

In addition to networking, we’re going to try to include 15-20 minute presentations by expert speakers that have unique knowledge and can offer actionable investing insights. We’re hoping that the short speeches will offer benefits to both the speaker and attendees:

1) relevant discussion topics that can demonstrate knowledge and offer talking points on an interview

2) actionable ideas to use if you are investing personally or professionally

3) peer review on the ideas by interested professionals

4) the opportunity for the speaker to gain exposure

Come to the meetings and walk away with investable insights. We want your feedback to make the topics interesting and relevant. And if you have an idea you think people would appreciate, don’t be shy, let us know and we’ll try to get you a forum! The better the topics, the bigger the audience, leading to more exposure for the speakers and more networking opportunities for attendees

Ernie is a Senior Vice President in the Wealth Management Division of UBS Financial Services where he serves as a Financial Advisor to individuals, families, non-profits and companies. Prior to joining UBS, Ernie served as a Financial Advisor most recently for Barclays Wealth & Investment Management as well as Bernstein Global Wealth Management serving high-net worth and ultra high net-worth individuals and families.

Earlier in his career, Ernie worked as a Managing Director with Dealogic LLC, a capital markets research and technology boutique serving the investment banking and investment management industries. Ernie first served as the firm’s Head of US Research and later as Global Head of Sales. Ernie was instrumental in consolidating the company’s brands and preparing it for its IPO in May 2004.

After graduating from college, Ernie held various positions focusing on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions in the health care, consumer foods and commodities industries at Laboratory Corporation of America, Unilever (Bestfoods) and Continental Grain, respectively. Ernie holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Finance and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University.
